The Data Plane in the NSX-T Data Center architecture performs the network traffic forwarding. The Data Plane is responsible for the actual handling of packets, including switching, routing, and firewall enforcement. It operates based on the instructions from the Control Plane.

NSX Intelligence is the solution designed to help detect lateral threat movement on east-west network traffic across multi-cloud environments. It provides real-time visibility, analytics, and security posture monitoring, making it easier to identify and mitigate threats within the network.

NSX Data Center offers micro-segmentation enforcement at the container level to secure micro-services. This feature allows for granular security policies to be applied to individual containers, ensuring that only authorized traffic can flow between micro-services, thereby enhancing security.

The firewall rule shown in the exhibit is part of a gateway firewall applied to a Tier-0 gateway (TO-GW-01). The key indicators are the "Category: LOCAL GATEWAY" and the "Applied to: TO-GW-01". The rule is set to "Drop" SSH traffic (port 22) from any source to the destinations listed (App-Servers, DB-Servers, Web-Servers).
